It’s been another fantastic year for the Aspray franchise. After lengthy Covid period of not being able to meet up together, we made the most of it in 2022. Our franchisees grew their businesses to new heights this year, as a record turnover was achieved across the board.
A New Office for Aspray (Manchester Central).
In the Summer, we celebrated the opening of a new hub of operations for our Manchester Central franchisee, Lindsey Joseph. Lindsey will be the first to admit that her first year as a franchisee featured some difficulty. Building a reliable contractor network and developing an understanding of the potential pitfalls of managing an insurance claim was a steep learning curve.
We know the role is not always straight forward, that’s why we have implemented a strong training and support culture at Aspray. Our Network Support Manager Anthony was able to help Lindsey get on track. Since then, her business growth has been exponential.
3 years in, Lindsey and her fellow Director Ben Taylor sipped champagne as they welcomed friends, family and business associates to a smart new office.
Aspray (Glasgow West) celebrate a phenomenal award win.
John Strange, Director at Aspray (Glasgow West) won the award for ‘Community Focus Franchisee’ at the BFA Awards in November. Being involved in several community projects this is a well-deserved win for John and his team.
Aspray (Glasgow West) are the title sponsors of the popular Ice Hockey club, The Glasgow Clan, and the official shorts sponsor of St. Mirren Football Club. Along with these high profile sponsorships, John is a chairman of local charity GEAAP and advocate of the STEPPS project.
Aspray (Glasgow West)’s support to these various organisations and clubs have funded charity work, provided urgent financial support and genuinely made a difference to people in the local community. John and his team were ecstatic to win the award, and everyone at Aspray couldn’t be more inspired.
Long time no see, as we met our franchisees at Sandown Racecourse.
We organised a hospitality afternoon at Sandown Racecourse in the Summer, bringing along some of our introducers and franchisees. As previously mentioned, the covid period had prevented meeting up and some franchisees haven’t been able to meet up for personal circumstances. However, Sandown was a huge success for being able to get together again.
A much-loved member of the network, Phil Bray of Aspray (Portsmouth) was able to attend after years of not being able to get down. Phil shared a glass of bubbly with Audrey Hage of Aspray (Central and West London) who we also haven’t been able to see for a while.
A fun afternoon spent sharing ideas and catching up for our franchise network. A great opportunity for the likes of Ian Allan, a new franchise owner of Aspray (Torquay) to meet with successful franchisees such as Jack Parkhouse of Aspray (London South), Nathan and Sam Merritt of Aspray (Sutton Coldfield) and Ana Lovric of Aspray (Maidenhead & Guildford).

2022 saw the addition of three new franchisees, Ian, Scott, and Jimmy. All coming with a wealth of experience, they have hit the ground running as franchise owners and have become a pleasure to work with in the network.
Ian has an extensive background in insurance, Scott’s roots are in America, while Jimmy has had a full career as a fireman. All three are cut from different cloth, but they bring new ideas to the table in running an Aspray franchise. The enthusiasm and commitment shown at the 2 week training event that we held at Head Office, and it’s no surprise to see them prosper early on as Aspray franchise owners.
Elite Franchise: Coming in at 34!
We entered Elite Franchise’s top 100 franchise for the first time this year. We achieved a rank of 34 on our first entry! A massive achievement for the franchise, in amongst some of the most recognised and successful names in the franchising industry.
Elite Franchise celebrates the best in franchising, and it’s an honour to be a part of the list and various publications. We look forward to continuing to work with them into 2023!

2022 has been a record-breaking year for Aspray, increasing our size as a business and doubling up on the number of claims complete. Our introduction to the highly esteemed Hedron Network will no doubt prosper in 2023, bringing more opportunities to the network.
