Aspray attended the Elite Franchise EF100 event at Tower Hotel, London, this past week. Members of our Head Office team and franchisees donned their black tie outfits to enjoy what was a stunning event created by Elite Franchise. This star-studded event brought along some of the industries most recognised and successful franchise owners. A great opportunity for Aspray to share a glass of champagne while discussing all things franchising.

Elite Franchise Top 100 - Aspray placed 34th

In attendance

The franchisees attending the event is based on availability and any contribution they made to the event. It was great to see Colin Felton from Aspray Liverpool make his way down to London. A member of our network since 2017. Mark Fletcher of Aspray Swindon made his first appearance at an event for some time too.

Joining these long-standing franchisees was also Bill Maynard of Aspray Luton. Our newest member of the network and someone who has recently seen exponential growth in his business. Bill has recently been recording video content with up-and-coming franchise promotion expert, Ed Purnell. On behalf of his new venture, The Franchised, Ed interviewed Bill on his experience at Aspray and is due for release soon.

Ed on stage at the event to promote what he does in the form of a series of comedy videos. Featured in the gaff reel was Louise Harris (Franchise Projects), Mark Scott (Azura), Natalia Shvarts (Beyond Corporate Law) and Phil Mowat (Ashtons Franchise Consulting).

A prestigious event enjoyed by all

The evening opened up with drinks on arrival and photo opportunities with a stunning backdrop of the Tower Bridge. Around 200 guests sat at the rounded tables of the EF100 event. Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise took to the stage as our compere for the evening. Pip Wilkins of the BFA joined Scott to talk about the direction of the franchise industry, its growth and the BFA’s commitment to support. Pip also announced a brand-new website to be released soon and paid a tribute to Sir Bernard Ingham. Sir Bernard was the former president of the BFA, who passed away recently.

After a 3-course dinner, Scott kicked off the awards ceremony. Snap-On UK won arguably the nights most prestigious award, the #1 franchise of the EF100. An impressive statement was made by The Travel Franchise, claiming the #17 spot on a first-time entry. Though Aspray did not claim any of the awards, we were mentioned for a fantastic effort in reaching #34 amongst tough competition.

As the EF100 event came to a close, all in attendance were in great spirits and stayed to party through the night. The hotel was packed with guests from the EF100 event, showing just show happy everyone was to be involved. Aspray would love to be involved again and we are definitely setting our sights on climbing the rankings again.
