Becoming an Aspray Franchisee

Aspray are currently looking for self-motivated professionals who are committed to providing a quality service by taking pride in their work whilst always striving to deliver the best possible results.

If you think you fit the profile of an Aspray franchisee, contact the recruitment team on 0800 077 6705 or book a Discovery call.

The Recruitment Process

Aspray are selective about the franchisees we welcome into our network. The recruitment process has been constructed in a way that both parties can make an informed decision, whilst helping Aspray ensure that only the most suitable candidates are offered a franchise.

1. Discovery Call

The first step is to complete a Discovery call with Aspray’s Recruitment Manager. You will be given the opportunity to ask questions and establish whether Aspray is an opportunity you would like to pursue further. The call also allows Aspray to assess your skill set and competencies, so please expect some questions on your employment history and financial background, your motivations and your personality.

If the outcome of the initial phone conversation is positive, you will be invited to attend a One to One meeting at the Aspray head office.

2. Head Office 121 Business Information Meeting

We hold business information meetings with potential franchisees at our head office in Lancashire. This face-to-face meeting will provide you with further information about the Aspray business model, regulation, insurance, head office support and the growth strategy and action plan in place to help franchisees understand how to build and develop their franchise to the levels they seek.

Your key skills are assessed during this meeting, including communication skills, professionalism, leadership, influential and negotiation skills.

3. Guided Due Diligence and Research Phrase

Suitable candidates will be invited to conduct their own research and guided due diligence and a template created by head office is designed to help you determine if running an Aspray franchise is viable for you and your circumstances.

During this stage, you will have the opportunity to speak with a number of current franchisees to gain an honest appraisal of Aspray from those who are currently living and breathing the brand.

4. Directors Offer or Decline

Once you have submitted your due diligence and business plan at the end of the research period, the Board of Directors will review your submission. If successful, you will receive a formal offer from a Director to join the Aspray Franchise network.

Formula for Success

Spotting your own strengths can sometimes be a struggle, but it’s key to finding a franchise business that will make you happy.  If you’re thinking about investing in a franchise opportunity, consider whether the required core skills match up to your personal strengths, abilities and passions.

The three essential skills you will need as an Aspray franchisee are as follows:

Excellent Communication Skills

As an Aspray franchisee you will need to be an influential communicator who is able to get key information across, both verbally and in writing to all types of customers and insurers. Often you will have to adapt your communication style according to who you are liaising with. For instance, meeting with a customer may require an empathic approach, whereas negotiating a claim with the insurer, or their appointed loss adjuster, may require a more assertive approach.

Planning and Organising

The project management of vetted contractors and suppliers to restore the client’s damaged property to its pre-loss condition involves careful man management, leadership, influential skills and attention to detail to help ensure that the property is repaired as swiftly as possible. Successful franchisees appear to have a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Planning and organising are also about creating a balance between meeting short term business needs and making long-term investments in activities, such as relationship building and self-improvement.

Relationship Building Skills

Strong interpersonal skills are a must. The ability to network and effectively create, grow and maintain business relationships is a big part of being an Aspray franchisee.

When our franchisees are not loss assessing and project managing insurance claims, they are often networking or promoting themselves and their Aspray service, to residential and commercial property owners and potential introducers of claims leads, within their designated territory.
