Day in the life of an Aspray franchisee

Nathan Merritt, Aspray (Sutton Coldfield)

“Prior to joining Aspray, I worked for several construction companies project managing the building of new homes, general building works and other types of home repairs or improvements.  I wanted to be self-employed so that I could reap the rewards and benefits of my hard work. Aspray came along at the right time in my life, career wise it is the best thing I have ever done.”

At home checking my appointments for the day ahead with either construction workers, building surveyors, quantity surveyors or loss adjusters.

Arrive at my first appointment to instruct the vetted contractors that they can start the building works to a shop which has been badly damaged by vandals.

Now to a pre-arranged meeting with a loss adjuster at a customer’s home which needs repairs to the roof following a storm.

Quick bite for lunch and then off to check on the progress of the construction workers at another site.

Just received a call from an insurer - one of my claims has been authorised. The customer is delighted, and we can now start the building works.

Head office call me about a large fire claim from one of their corporate introducers. I arrange to visit the customer first thing tomorrow morning.

Back at home, I populate a schedule of works for the damaged home. The software package has a built-in price book which helps me formulate the costs.

I finish my day feeling personally fulfilled with the settlements I have achieved for my customers and excited about the future of my Aspray franchise.
