Phil Bray of Aspray Guildford has been an Aspray franchisee for four years now and his journey towards becoming an Aspray franchisee was empowered by his desire to utilise the skills he had developed and enjoyed previously within his career.
Formerly, Phil had a Kitchen & Bathroom fitting company for nine years and prior to that spent 25 years as an importer/exporter in the perfume industry. This combination of experience meant that Aspray fit the bill in terms of expanding on his area of expertise whilst developing new skills through successful training and working within an established network. What was most appealing to Phil about Aspray was the security of working within a franchise and avoiding the risk and hassle which is usually associated with starting a business from scratch.
Phil identifies referrals and recommendations as the main area for bringing in new business and recognises benefits it can achieve for his business. Phil says “It is important to reassure the customer and inform them that I am there for them and if they have any problems whatsoever they can contact me. I also like to keep my customers informed and oversee every claim to the highest possible standard, this quality of customer service is something that I have been implementing from day one.”
Every year Aspray holds a National Conference whereby all the franchisees attend an award ceremony amongst other team building activities. This year Aspray was proud to present Phil Bray with the ‘Franchisee of the Year 2013’ award to reward him for his efforts and achievements this previous year.
Phil is now well respected within the industry and recognised by many brokers and loss adjusters who send a lot of business his way and are more than willing to give him a worthy reference to expand upon his business. Phil is optimistic about possible opportunities in the future leading to multiple opportunities not only for Phil’s franchise, but for the whole network.
