A Record Breaking Year
The year of 2012 was record breaking. Historically it was the 2nd wettest year in the UK and one of the wettest ever Junes in Ireland.
Insurers paid out £1.19bn for flood and storm damage – the highest annual figure for five years. Nearly half a million claims were made from homeowners, businesses and motorists, according to the Association of British Insurers (ABI) with the average payout for flood-damaged properties of £18,200.
The new year was a good time to meet with a number of our corporate clients and review progress. We received lots of positive feedback proving we have excellent foundations to build on.
But we are not resting on our laurels and are aggresively preparing for network growth, development and promotion within this massive industry. We’ll be at 2 franchise exhibitions in February and March, BIBA in May, and have a 12 month training calendar with over 100 courses for the network to pick and choose depending on skill set and needs.
We are also preparing for our annual franchise meeting in April which is due to be held in Harrogate. Always a thoroughly enjoyable event loved by all. We will be rounding off the 2 days with the coveted Aspray awards ceremony which was great fun last year – watch out for the announcement of this year’s categories shortly.
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
James
