Aspray Welcomes

Sales Development Manager Peter O`Neil

We would like to say a BIG WELCOME to the newest member of the Aspray sales team, Peter O’Neil, who has joined the company as a Sales Development Manager, and whose main aim is to work with new franchisees giving them hands on support to help them develop the sales and marketing aspects of building their business.

He will also be driving the overall growth strategy by signing up new introducers of work, for the benefit of the network as a whole.

Sales Development Manager Peter O`Neil

Peter, tell us about yourself and your background.

I’ve worked in different areas, I started off as an outbound instructor, teaching people how to sail and climb. I did that for a few years and then realised I had to get a proper job!

I then went into financial services, it was 1997 and I have worked in various roles within Financial Services, including becoming qualified as a directly authorised Independent Financial Advisor.

I’ve also always had little projects that I’ve overseen overtime which involved teaching people how to sell and how to talk to other people.

Tell us a little bit about your new role and the help that you will be providing to the Aspray Franchisees.

It’s all about helping new franchisees grow their business and supporting the network as a whole by bringing on new introducers who refer claims.

So, on one side is to building the introducer referral network whilst also relationship managing and developing a connection with our existing introducers.

I am most looking forward to helping the franchisees build their referral network as when I was in the finance industry I worked from referred business. Referral business is the way forward!

When somebody buys a franchise, I can see that the testing and research has been done, so it’s then a case of demonstrating to the franchisees that the model is there for them to follow and that following the model can offer them high income and great job satisfaction.

You observed an Induction course recently to get a better idea of what the franchisee role entails. How did you find the course?

Very interesting, hard work, but extremely professional!

Learning about how franchisees operate allowed me to gain empathy with them and of course further understand what they will be doling on a daily basis

Aspray have a franchise support network at head office, so I am not the person that gives them advice on the claims management side of things but, if I ever get asked a question I don’t know the answer to, I can point them towards the person to speak to in order to solve their problem and that’s part of my job.

Even though I may be new to Aspray, I’m not new to dealing with people. I want to help the people I am working with build a strong and profitable business, and let them know that I am always on the other end of the phone should they need sales and marketing advice.
